Summary:

As an intern, I was on a two-week shift rotation. Every day, I had the opportunity to shadow keepers, which involved feeding the animals, cleaning their dens or habitats, and providing enrichment for them. All the animals at the Alaska Zoo are Arctic or subarctic species, meaning they can survive the winters here in Alaska.
