Summary: I interned with the United States Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Service at their Forage Animal Production Research Unit in Lexington, Kentucky. The unit's mission is to improve the productivity, profitability, competitiveness, and sustainability of forage-based enterprises in the Southeast United States. As a lab technician intern, my responsibilities included preparing media for experiments, maintaining lab equipment, assisting with fieldwork and sampling, and working on a personal project
