Virtual Swimming Pool Inspection

You have been tasked to conduct a swimming pool inspection at the TreeTop Hotel located at 1322 west 2nd street in Freeport, Georgia. You arrive and meet with Tommy Adams, the pool supervisor before you conduct the inspection. During the inspection you observe the following situations. Describe what is observed in the photos in your swimming pool inspection form. Include things that are good as well as the deficiencies.

Changing Areas

The door to a men's room is behind a small wall. The floor is tiled.

Shows the small walls that block the line of sight into the changing rooms. In between these walls is a drinking fountain.

Two sinks, two soap dispensers, a paper towel dispenser, a trash can, a shower, and on the opposite wall there are two urinals and a hand dryer.

A wall with safety equipment on it, including a hose, a shepherd's crook, a pole, a life float, and a sign that says "This equipment is for emergency use only, other use is prohibited"

A wall with a shower on it and a sign that says "Please shower before entering the pool". There are two more signs, one that says "Emergency shut off for hot tub" and one that says "No glassware allowed in pool area".

Some more brown staining on the pool deck from standing water.

In the Pool

The bottom edges inside the pool look dirty. The deck on the side of the pool says "NO DIVING" in big red letters.

The drain cover in the bottom of the pool has come out of the drain. The depth is clearly marked as 8 feet.

There are some stairs leading from the pool deck into the shallow end of the pool. The depth is clearly marked as 3 feet. Some stuff that looks like dirt is visible in the bottom of the pool.

During the inspection you use a Northlight P-155 digital thermometer to test the water's temperature. The result was 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Write this result on your swimming pool inspection form.

During the inspection you use a Hach Style 8660 colorimetric pool testing kit to test for pH and Chlorine. Your results are 7.4 for the pH and 1.2 for the Chlorine. Write these results on your swimming pool inspection form.
