Precede-Procede Model

A flow chart depicting the precede-procede model. From right to left, it lists the steps 1 through 5: Step 1 (social assessment), Step 2 (epidemiological assessment), Step 3 (behavioral and environmental assessment), Step 4 (educational and ecological assessment), Step 5 (administrative and policy assessment). At the bottom of the diagram, from left to right, it lists steps 6 through 9: Step 6 (implementation), Step 7 (process evaluation), Step 8 (impact evaluation), Step 9 (outcome evaluation). In the first box in the flow chart, there are two categories: Health education and Policy, Regulation, Organization. A double-sided arrow goes in-between the two categories. Three arrows branch off of "Health Education" and point towards three boxes: Predisposing, Reinforcing, and Enabling. One arrow goes from Policy, Regulation, Organization, and points towards Enabling. Double-sided arrows go in-between each of the three boxes (Predisposing, Reinforcing, and Enabling). One arrow goes from Predisposing to Behavior. One arrow goes from Reingforcing to Behavior. Two arrows go from Enabling to two boxes, Behavior and Environment. An arrow points to Behavior from Environment. And an arrow points towards Environment from Behavior. Two arrows go from Behavior to two boxes: Health, and Quality of life. Two arrows go from Environment to two boxes: Health, and Quality of life. One arrow goes from Health to Quality of life.
