2.7.2.1 Feed Efficiency Ratio (FER)

Feed Efficiency Ratio (FER) is calculated using the formula:

FER = Output (Milk, Eggs, Meat)/ Input (Feed or Grain)

A higher FER indicates greater feed efficiency. The calculation involves measuring the total output of the animal in terms of milk, eggs, or meat and dividing it by the total feed intake.
