Kathryn S. McCarthy is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Learning Sciences at Georgia State University. Katie’s basic research examines the higher-order cognitive processes involved in reading comprehension and how these processes vary across readers and across disciplines. Her applied research explores how both in-person interventions and educational technology can be leveraged to support successful learning from text.
