Insulation Labor
- Type 1 and Type 2 insulation is found by looking at the materials (need the thickness and length and name and R value to find it in the NCE.
- First, find what type 1 and type 2 insulation means
- Look up the insulation labor cost in the NCE (faced, unfaced, stud spacing, thickness, etc.
- Given the craft hours, but there is an error. Given 5.5" insulation with R19, but the the NCE has two types that are close to those values. Is it faced or unfaced? What are all the specs needed according to the estimating workbook? Do your best to choose an insulation to estimate the labor for based on those specs.

Drywayll Materials
- Need to estimate the SF Water Resistant Drywall
- Basic layout of the house uses standard drywall
- 5/8" is used for ceilings
- 1/2" is used for the ceilings
- Fire resistant is used anywhere there may be a risk of a fire. The common wall would be this in case of a fire at the electrical panel.
- Water resistant drywall will be used in bathrooms. It's also known as greenboard
- Look at the floorplan to identify the types of drywall needed.
- Go to the bathroom in the plans, calibrate bluebeam.
- Take the perimeter of the bathroom. Multiply it by the height of the walls. This is the total water resistant drywall needed.
- Notice that the standard drywall number goes down when adding water resistant and fire resitant drywall.
- LF of Outside Corners. The number of drywall corners that will need a corner bead.
- Only for outside corners.
- Not needed for door frame outside corners
- Use count function in bluebeam.
- Use count x height of walls to get total LF. Pay attention to the various wall heights.

-
- Need to estimate the Size, Units, and Unit Cost by referencing the various DBs
- Drywall DB
- Size do if material is listed, vlookup drywall database, column 4, false
- Units the same, but column 5
- Unit Cost look for material and supplier to give the cost for a specified supplier (if or, etc.) reference both drywall db and drywall supplier list

Drywall Labor Section
- Find some labor costs for three different labor sections, not all in the drywall sections

Interior Trim Material Section
- Calculate the LF interior walls w/o baseboards, and the LF of door openings
- Go to the plans and identify the walls that will need baseboards
- No baseboards where door frames are, where cabinets and appliances are (is that true?), bathroom cabinets tub/shower.
- No baseboard on the stairs.
- Look for little sections like in the bathroom that will need a little bit of baseboard
- Use the length or polylength tool in bluebeam.
- Do not include arched door openings without doors because they don't have a frame or door.

Stair Finish Materials Section
- Find the quantity of the skirtboard.
- Look at the Framing tab to get the length of the skirtboard. Actual angle length or adjusted angle length? Can also do a measurement in bluebeam.
- Need enough skirt board to go down both sides of the stairs.

- Be aware of the units and sizes when estimating this part.
