Week 3.2 Supplemental Content

  • Crash Course: (10/10)

  • 99 Studies (15/25)

    • You will need your book! Choose three studies from studies 10-18 that are most interesting to you.

    • Use the Frayer model, and bring a PRINTED and FILLED OUT copy to class.

    • Spend no more than 5 minutes reading about each study for a total of 15 minutes.

  • Paper of the Week (PotW) (30/55)

    • Use the graphic organizer. You are finished when A) you’ve spent 30 minutes on the paper of the week, and B) when you’ve completed the graphic organizer. That’s it! Don’t finish–there’s too much! Just dig in for a bit!

    • A folder containing the papers of the week is available here. (This is week 3.)

  • Mental Health: The Great Rewiring. Listen to as much as you can in the first 20 minutes. (20/75)

BroPa Note: Jonathan Haidt is a secular Jew, and he mentions in these remarks a number of things about Hamas and Israel and the conflict that surfaced during 2023. While I happen to agree with him on Israel/Hamas (indeed, quite strongly) I'm including this piece because he A) talks about anxiety, the mental health crisis, and social media, and B) he ties it directly to religion and how religion can play a role in protecting youth, which I find highly pertinent to BYU-Idaho students. You need not agree with his views on Israel/Palestine to agree with him on The Great Rewiring.
